William R. Kimpel, President

"Bill Jr." (as he is affectionately known) has spent virtually every moment of his life associated with the jewelry trade. Father, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and ancestors all served the public with their jewelry needs. From sweeping the sidewalk and carpets, to appraising diamonds and gems, Bill has left no rock unturned as he has learned the art of serving the public with Friendship, Understanding, and Knowledge. Bill has been associated full-time with the store since 1979 and has been the owner and president since January, 1995. As a Registered Jeweler with the American Gem Society, Bill oversees the appraisal department and quality control of all products and services offered by our store. Bill's genuine concern for the customers and his artistic eye for detail have endeared him to our clients.

William J. Kimpel, Co-Founder (deceased April 24, 2002)

"Bill Sr." (as he is affectionately known) had been a valued member of the jewelry trade throughout his entire life. Bill Sr.'s father had a great desire to serve the public with sincerity and integrity. Value and quality were always important in his personal life and he always insisted on the same for Kimpel's customers. From the moment he and his brother Jack opened the door of their new store on July 5th, 1957, Bill Sr.'s vision of professionalism teamed with a personal touch never changed. It was with pride that he achieved the title of Registered Jeweler with the American Gem Society in 1968; a title that he maintained until the time of his passing. His life, both personally and professionally, were an inspiration to anyone who knew him.

As Bill Sr. placed his hand on the door handle of their brand new Columbiana store in July 1957, he was joined by his older brother Jack as an equal partner in this brand new venture. Jack, too, had been challenged throughout his life to "do it right", and his talents were valuable tools in forming this fledgling store into a solid member of the jewelry industry. Throughout the years Jack earned the title of Master Watchmaker, Registered Jeweler, and Certified Gemologist. Though Jack is currently retired, his expertise and advice are still valued by the members of the Kimpel staff.
